My husband and I drove from 2 hours away to try this winery. It was our anniversary. We were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, after walking into the establishment and approaching three different open areas around the tasting bar in hopes of being helped, we were finally spoken to with a snobby “Is there something I can help you with?” by a blonde employee with bright red lipstick. She was very distracted with chatting with her fellow employees while losing track of the fact that we were there to have a wine tasting experience. The only thing said to us during our tasting was to be asked which wine we had marked to try next. She offered no additional information about the wines, and asked nothing about us nor did she try to make any pleasantries. We felt very unwelcome. We observed her drinking wine inside the tasting bar and appeared preoccupied in the conversation she was having with her fellow employees than she was with helping us. The whole vibe we got from this place was arrogance instead of class. If you are looking to be treated as unimportant and want to give your money to a business that doesn’t bother to make their customers seem welcome, then by all means go visit Shady Creek Winery yourself.
Traveled out of town to visit this winery and celebrate and was rudely greeted after walking around for 20 minutes. Was not given any information or help at all. For the amount of staff working had to wait an incredible amount of time between tastings, and was very unsatisfied the entire time. We will not be back.
