As a part of the Great Florida Birding Trail, Wakodahatchee Wetlands features open ponds, marshes, and islands with a public boardwalk and interpretive signs. Over 140 species of birds have been spotted at the site, as well as turtles, alligators, raccoons, frogs, and rabbits. Within its rich flora, you'll see palm trees, oaks, numerous flowers, and aquatic plants. This 20 hectare (50 acre) park also offers gazebos with benches. Dress comfortably for the 2.4 km (1.5 mi) hike along the boardwalk, which teaches wetland ecology through interpretive signs.   • Fantastisk park, som jeg anbefaler på det varmeste!! Vi så tusenvis av fugler og fisker, mange kaniner og skilpadder, tre iguaner og to alligatorer. Veldig spennende!!  more »

  • It's beautiful little stroll through basically a small bird sanctuary where you can get a very close up view of Wood Storks, Herons and other Florida wildlife. The best time of year to go is in the early spring when they are nesting. There is a boardwalk that is handicap accessible that takes you through the entire park and has benches all along the way for viewing or resting.
  • Many flocks of birds. Lovely boardwalk. Parking lot was very full. Great spot for taking photos. Saw birds, turtles, a rabbit, swimming snake, and crocodile eyes peeking up. Lovely little flowers in the junglely-swampy beautiful scenery. Nice people all around viewing all. Many trees, too. Things nicely explained on signs. Very enjoyable, happy atmosphere. Bird watchers all about with their binoculars, and people snapping photos. Star taken off only because parking was full...
