We went here in summer during one of the free to visit cathedral orchestra days. Violin and piano music is played for about one hour per concert by professional artists. The cathedral itself is very large and can accomodate plenty of chairs so there is no need to come very early. They are currently renovating one of the wings so be aware that you can not see the entire cathedral from the inside. Entry is free.

At the start wanted to say I am not catholic. I view this object as an observer. The Cathedral is well looked after, with care and love by the local priests and I know many people view this as their main and cherished place of worship. It does have a special atmosphere with wooden naves and icons throughout. There are some impressive pipe organs. I also know the Cathedral offers services in English as well as Polish looking after the local community. They often have priests from all over the world, they have some impressive sermons. The building's architecture is unique and the surroundings fit well aroud it.
