Review of Tour No. 3: Discovering Birmingham Walking Tour I really enjoyed the tour with Jonathan, which was full of information about social changes in Birmingham since the Industrial Revolution to nowadays and subsequent changes in the city. You get to discover not very known canals and the jewellery quarter, which I appreciated. The guide was very active and we all enjoyed being enlightened and had a great time. In addition, we got a beautiful book by the end of the tour so the experience was excellent. Thank you Positively Birmingham! I can also recommend the tour No. 1: From Canals and Victorians to Today’s City; which I did last week with tour guide Michael and also really loved it.

A great tour with Jonathan Berg who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of Birmingham. I went on walking tour No.3 from the Library of Birmingham to the Jewellery Quarter. Great insight to the history of the city and views of the waterways that not many get to see! Jonathan spoke clearly and answered many questions we had. The radio system was good and discreet, no loud speakers, just an earphone which allowed us to hear what he was saying over the noise of the city. We received a book at the end with some great photos of Birmingham. He also on this occasion generously gave me a copy of his book Positively Birmingham. I would highly recommend this tour and would happily turn up again for a different tour with Jonathan.
