    We both really enjoyed our visit to Saklikent. Make your way up the boardwalk to wade through the ice cold waters on to the other side and in between the natural rock of the gorge. A great experience.  more »

    After we visited Patara, we read and found the area name of Saklikent (which we thought to be another ancient city 😄 and we were wrong of course). It was a canyon and offered some activities such as....  more »

    It's an amazing walking trail in one of nature's wonders. The canyon gets so narrow on occasions that when you look up you can only see the sky through narrow cracks. WARNING: They provide you with rubber walking shoes and hard hats at the entrance of the trail. The hats are there for a real good reason. So, do NOT make the mistake of neglecting them! Large and small stones fly down the cliffs frequently, and they pose a real life threatening peril. Rubber shoes will protect you from stepping on sharper objects inside the stream.

    Really good (tiring!) day out. Gorge walking/scrambling can be done by everyone, although there are some hard parts that guides can assist you reaching and taking photos. Can buy appropriate shoes at the shop for 20 lira. Also places to get food and different activities like rafting. Would recommend!
