Omdurman is the second largest city in Sudan and Khartoum State, lying on the western banks of the River Nile, opposite the capital, Khartoum. Kick off your visit on the 4th (Wed): admire the striking features of Presidential Palace, thendon't miss a visit to Nile Street, thensee the interesting displays at Sudan National Museum, and finally head off the coast to Tuti Island. On the 5th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: browse the different shops at Afra Mall, thendeepen your understanding at University of Khartoum, and then stroll around Mogran.
