World Heritage-listed Edinburgh combines ancient and modern in a uniquely Scottish atmosphere.
Visiting Arthur's Seat and Coldingham Sands will get you outdoors. Your inner history buff will appreciate Edinburgh Castle and National Wallace Monument. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Edinburgh: Doune Castle (in Doune), Rosslyn Chapel (in Roslin) and Cragside House and Gardens (in Rothbury). There's lots more to do: step into the grandiose world of Bamburgh Castle, steep yourself in history at Palace of Holyroodhouse, wander the streets of Edinburgh Old Town, and stroll around Holyrood Park.
