Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Start off your visit on the 21st (Mon): appreciate the views at Glen Coe, hike along Glencoe Lochan, thenidentify plant and animal life at Highland Titles Nature Reserve, and finally explore the activities along Loch Shiel. On the 22nd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: tee off at Fort Augustus Golf Club, explore the striking landscape at Glen Roy National Nature Reserve, and then pause for some photo ops at Commando Monument.

Gairloch is a village, civil parish and community on the shores of Loch Gairloch in Wester Ross, in the North-West Highlands of Scotland. Step out of Gairloch with an excursion to Coire Mhic Fhearchair in Torridon--about 52 minutes away. There's still lots to do: get outside with Walking and Wildlife Adventures, look for all kinds of wild species at Shieldaig Falconry, hike along Beinn Eighe Mountain Trail, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Mellon Udrigle Beach.
