Situated at the meeting point of the White and Blue Niles, the sprawling capital Khartoum captivates with its welcoming atmosphere, chaotic marketplaces, and extravagant skyline punctuated with glass towers.
Go for a jaunt from Khartoum to Omdurman to see Khalifa House Museum about 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Sudan National Museum, get engrossed in the history at Ethnographic Museum, head off the coast to Tuti Island, and contemplate the long history of Naga: Temple of Amun.
