  • The museum contains many important artifacts that must be preserved in an optimal way, in addition to developing an explanation that includes the importance of the artifact and its uses and the period of time in which it was used.

  • Khalifa was the successor of the Mahdi the Sudanese national hero who continued his victorious revolt against the English in Sudan.La his house of tub, mud bricks almost contiguous to the tomb of Mahdi is today an ETHNOGRAFCO museum that houses some interesting Artifacts of the time in addition to the weapons and trophies of the mahdisti during their struggle. There are also two Nordenfeldt/Maxim machine Guns of the Omdurman massacre during which they mowed miles of men and it was an impressive strong feeling to touch them. In addition to various personal items of general Gordon is also exhibited the first motor vehicle arrived in Sudan, a kind of motor wagon while on the terrace there is the cusp of the dome of the first tomb of the Mahdi destroyed by the British. It is worth visiting the history of Sudan although Millennial speaks very little of its past, its black pharaohs, Berenice Pancrisia and the disastrous colonialist period at the base of today's internal quarts that it is a real pity to be in Khartoum and not To visit these places that we westerners may seem poor but which are laden with the history of Africa, a continent where colonialism continues to live, has only changed face.

  • It really requires about an hour and a half to go through. There aren't a lot of written facts or much coherency to the narrative, in my opinion. However, I did gain a solid background and I think I would have appreciated it 10x fold if I had done extra reading before going. Very neat artifacts and special notes about Khalifa history and the house uses. If you go to Sudan, you must stop by.
