Located at the heart of the capital city, Rizal Park represents a tribute to the Philippine national hero--Jose Rizal--who was shot during a local rebellion against Spanish colonialists. Overlooking the Manila Bay, the park contains many recreational, cultural, and educational facilities, including historical markers, an observatory, an open-air concert hall, and lots of colorful fountains. Rizal Park reviews
A large park with plenty of spaces for walking and enjoying the morning or evenings. There are gardens to explore, water fountains to watch and places for picnics. Parking is a challenge. more »
The water fountain and the music is just amazing... Very fun to watch and perfect for a couple or family or even solo. more »
A large park frequented, especially on the weekend, by hundreds of families. Over the weekend, dozens of martial arts practitioners gather here for their lessons. Or you can find it boys who try their choreography for school dances or young footballers engaged in long games. A 3d map of the Philippines is enclosed in a swimming pool at the beginning of the park. The visit to the Japanese garden is interesting and at the weekend there are often free concerts in the special area. A suitable place to relax, have a picnic, have fun in peace.
Rizal Park is one of the major tourist attractions in Manila. The park has been a favorite spot for unwinding, socializing, relaxing, jogging, strolling, and bonding among families and friends. At dawn, different groups gather here to practice martial arts. There are also some photographers around the park so if you want to have some photos beside the monument, they are always prepared to take pictures. The park has an Open-air Auditorium where long running concerts take place. The park is so large. Some of foreigner coming here like me to learn the history of that remarkable place and the man called Jose Rizal. (19.11.17)
