  • A lovely place, but can get very crowded. Early morning on a weekday is best if you want any chance of a photo without hordes of other people in it. The "guides" that ply there trade at the site are not that knowledgeable, don't speak great English, and will try to rush you through. However, they are useful in guiding you to the nearby underground mosque (included in the ticket price), as it can be difficult to find. Much more interesting and beautiful than the Sultan's palace.
  • Cheap entrance fee, good spots for photo but very crowded. Walk towards the entrance, tour guide available for a tourist who want to now the story of this place with additional charge. Reject them politely if you want to skip the history of the water castle. I am not sure why some people disliked this place , as I thought it was beautiful, even in its somewhat dilapidated state. It is very atmospheric and on a hot day, you can imagine how lovely it must have been to bathe there.
