Swim or surf at Air Manis Beach, where the rock formations are said to be the remains of the shipwreck of famous local legend Malin Kundang, a sailor who turned to stone. The smaller waves at this brown sand beach are especially suitable for beginner surfers. Stretch out on the sand for a bit of sunbathing and relaxation while listening to the breeze and crashing waves. You can rent surfboards or a small hut on the coastline. If your visit falls during low tide, you can walk through shallow water to a nearby islet 200 m (650 ft) from the shore.     We visited thid beach but it was dirty as it was hit by big waves two days before we came . So the villagers eere busy clearing the mess that time. We managed to see the famaous malin kundang stone...  more »
