Also known as the "Iron Woman," Eiffel Tower is an iconic symbol of the City of Lights. You’ve no doubt admired this tower in countless films, but when you see it for the first time you'll be blown away by its magnificent scale and grandeur. Gustave Eiffel built the 325-m (1,063 ft) tower in 1889, and for 40 years this was the tallest structure in the world. As you ascend to the third level, realize you’re climbing to the highest accessible observatory platform open to the public in the entire European Union. On the first and second levels, dine in the restaurants, shop in the boutiques, and enjoy breathtaking city views. An audio guide and an iPhone app in English offer historical and cultural tidbits. Taking the Métro to the Ecole Militiare stop, then strolling up Champ de Mars, is a lovely way to arrive. Plan to see Eiffel Tower and other attractions that appeal to you using our Paris planner.

Loved walking around the tower and seeing it from the distance. I don’t think you necessarily need to go up for the experience, unless you just want to say you’ve been up. Lots of people selling... more »

The Eiffel Tower is definitely a symbol of love throughout the world. It is a very beautiful tower and you can go inside to certain height with additional ticket. The whole region around this area is full of architecture, beautiful sculptures, garden, and monuments. It is a must-visit for anyone visiting Paris and you should easily take a few hours to cover it completely. The sights of the Tower are simply awesome if you visit it during the Valentine's day. The night view is very beautiful. Perhaps it is better to visit the place before it gets dark and then stay until you have the night view too.

For me, Eiffel Tower will always be one of the most beautiful landmarks in the world, no matter what time you visit it. You can go climb up or take on the elevator to reach the top but I suggest you to take the elevator. The lights are really impressive at night, making you wouldn't want to stop taking pictures of it. But the best way to take pictures with this tower is using it as background from the ground. If you want to see the city view from the top, Eiffel Tower offers you good view but not the best. I prefer Arc de Triomphe instead. Just like the movies. Have the most amazing pictures of me and the family which were taken by a street vendor. He's been there long enough to know where you need to stand, how to angle the camera, and he even made people move out of the shot. The tower itself, impressive. Definitely a must do if you go to Paris. I walked down the river side and further down by the lovers bridge is another amazing spot to capture the tower. I went later in the afternoon which permitted me to get day shots, as well as night shots when the lights on the tower were turned on.It is spectacular.I suggested that you must come here.I love this place
