Museo del Lago Gutierrez, San Carlos de Bariloche

In most circumstances travelers avoid small, cramped rooms filled with bones, but at Museo del Lago Gutierrez that's exactly what visitors come for. Built thanks to the passion of Professor Rodolfo Pedro Corsolini, the private archeological museum houses a collection of around 10,000 fossils, rocks, and bones discovered in Patagonia. Have a chat with Professor Corsolini, who can usually be found on site, about the fascinating discoveries and what they tell us about the region. • Awesome place, Rodolfo is a great source of wisdom and knowledge. Afable and pleasant to talk to about history and also contemporary matters. Fully recommended for people interested in Earth's history, geology and the likes.
  • Said it was open... abierto todo los dias... all the days. But they were not open and had no note as to when they would open. Dissapointing.
